Zach Black is an Austin, Texas–based artist shaped by island roots and driven by boundless creativity. Raised in Hawaii, he grew up playing music in his church and working at a small local guitar shop before studying at the University of Texas and being shaped by Austin’s vibrant music scene. Over the years, he’s performed as a vocalist, guitarist, ukulele player, bassist, drummer, and songwriter in countless projects — from reggae and hip-hop to world and rock music — most notably fronting the indie-punk band Souls Extolled.

Now, Black steps forward with an ambitious multi-genre solo project that returns to his roots as a songwriter and fuses rock, rap, reggae and pop. Renowned for his powerhouse vocals and dynamic songwriting, he brings a rare versatility to every performance — singing, rapping, and shouting with raw passion and control.

His acoustic performances channel that same unmistakable energy in a more intimate form — stripped-down yet full of fire. These sets showcase Zach’s skill as a guitarist and his ability to reinterpret his own songs acoustically alongside a versatile range of covers. While his full-production shows bring the complete experience, the acoustic versions reveal the songs’ raw core and emotional power.

With six new tracks currently in production and planned for release next year, Zach’s music reflects a life shaped by movement, passion, and sound without limits — a fearless expression of creativity with no boundaries.
